Simone Lambert, Ph.D. is currently serving as the 67th President of the American Counseling Association. She is a licensed professional counselor and national certified counselor. She is a core faculty in counseling at Capella University. Dr. Lambert has supervised counselors-in-training for the past two decades. Her research interest includes addiction prevention, wellness, chronic illness, sensory processing disorder, and issues related to children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Lambert's past clinical work and publications have primarily focused on issues related to mental health, addiction, youth and families. She is a former president of the International Association of Addictions and Offender Counselors and was the recipient of the 2010 IAAOC addictions/offender educator excellent award.
