Older adults living with psychiatric labels have unique needs in terms of wellness, improved personal health outcomes, and connections to communities of their choice.  They frequently face dramatic changes in their social and employment circumstances. It is a time of life that is frequently marked by losses of loved ones and grieving. For many it can be fraught with economic uncertainty and lifestyle changes.

With the Baby Boomer generation poised to be a large segment of the older adult demographic, there are opportunities to address these unique needs through advocacy, activism, support, and inclusion.  Peer support and peer-delivered services should account for all these factors. In this webinar, Patrick Hendry will discuss these issues and the strengths and weaknesses of the behavioral health system in meeting the challenges.
