Justice-Involved Peer Support

RI International’s justice-involved peer support training is designed to support individuals coming out of incarceration. This webinar will take a look at the psychological effects of those incarcerated and some of the learned behavior that may be present. We will focus on integration, reintegration, and reentry with the purpose of reducing the recidivism rate.

Presenter:

Vicki Rainey is a Recovery Educator at RI International, where she has worked since 2007. She has been providing training and consulting since 2013. Ms. Rainey is currently a Master Facilitator of RI International’s Certified Peer Support Specialist Training, Advanced Peer Support Training, ASIST, and several others. She has provided recovery-themed, evidence-based trainings for psychiatric rehabilitation for many different organizations, including the Veterans Administration. Ms. Rainey has traveled extensively across the United States to provide workshops and has had the opportunity to speak throughout the jail and prison systems. Ms. Rainey has developed curriculum and training for Justice-Involved Individuals and remains dedicated to local and national initiatives concerning recovery, peer support, and justice-involved reentry/reintegration.
