Nathan Tatro

Nathan Tatro, MA, is Vice President of Alliance Development at Mental Health America. Before coming to MHA, he served for seven years as Deputy Director of Digital Health at the American Psychiatric Association, within its Division of Policy, Programs, and Partnerships. While at APA, Nate led all initiatives related to mental health information technology, telepsychiatry, and mobile health, helping to establish internal and national regulatory and legislative policy. While at APA, Nate created App Advisor and led an international group of mental health professionals and technology experts in developing guidance for clinicians on selecting mHealth solutions in clinical care. He spearheaded responses to federal regulations and worked closely with the APA Department of Government Relations on legislative initiatives. Nate received his BA in Psychology, summa cum laude, from Lycoming College (2003) and his MA in Psychology from George Mason University (2010). He previously worked at the American Psychological Association; AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation; Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; and Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh.
